Amy Smart has been a model, actress, as well as a former American. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modeling professional career in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in the TV production Her Costly Affair. It was a long road for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller character. Amy was unable to make the leap from modeling into acting since model actors aren't generally considered good actors. They are usually given smaller roles that aren't important. But somehow Amy refused to give up and transitioned to larger roles, beginning with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. She then ventured into the lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained the recognition she'd been seeking for over 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. She went on doing some important films, including the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless where she played the well-loved character of recurring.
